Our socks are made from uncommonly soft, sustainable bamboo, making them as good for your feet as they are for the environment. Lucky feet.
Our socks are not sustainable. Fashion brand aren't sustainable. The more items they sell, the more resources they consume. But we do try to be as kind to our blue planet as we can. Like using bamboo, a biodegradable, natural material which is incredibly fast growing. And making sure all our materials are Oeko-Tex certified, which means they are certified free of any harmful chemicals.
The socks are made from a soft blend of 40% bamboo, 40% cotton, 15% polyester and 5% spandex.
THE MAKING OF
The socks are designed in London and made by a small manufacturing company in Hangzhou, China which Dom visited in early 2018. What we loved about Longna Textile was their fun loving attitude, their sometimes odd obsession with socks and their kind nature. On Dom's visit he was invited to the christening of the production managers' baby. A loving gesture which he accepted with open arms.
"I've been working for the same manufacturing company since leaving university in China and still absolutely love creating beautiful socks. Especially with a company like Critically Endangered Socks. Dom cares so much about the quality of his socks. He showed this when he came to visit our small factory in Hangzhou. They have been such a pleasure to work with" Allen Zhu, Production manager at Longna Textile
